I have a question. 

 

There is some disscussion in the Suggestions Group with regard to allowing For-Profit Organizations Join Wiser Earth, as well as Institutional Accountability with regard to the Natural Capital Institute.

Technically all organizations / individuals gain from being able to access this great resource of a network... so in a way all organizations are profitting here.... and we all owe a big thanks to NCI who developed this network.

 

But....

 

What steps do we take if we find an organization on this website that has exhaustively violated the community guidelines, their personal privacy policy, their organization's purpose....?

 

How do we remove such an organization from the network so as to maintain the integrity of the Wiser Vision?

 

Is it not appropriate to question NCI because:

 

A) they have power

B) they developed this network

 

= do these things give them a right to abuse our guidelines and operate under a different set of rules than the rest of the community?

 

Isn't that counterintuitive to moving toward a wiserearth?

 

Is it wrong to ask for an independent third party Administrator = in an effort to temper the unchecked power of NCI with a voice of the WiserEarthlings in the most delicate of matters.

 

Will the WiserEarthlings take a stand for all that it means to be Wiser?

 

Do the WiserEarthlings care?

 

Can we vote and elect an independent third party administrator or will NCI resist and deny us this right?

 

Why do all changes on this website have to be leveraged through NCI?  They seem to be unable to prioritize and act fast on some of the more pressing concerns...? 

 

What steps can we as WiserEarthlings take to wrest control of our website?  Is this our website?  Is it NCI's website?  Is this a community website...?  Why shouldn't the community take control?

 

Are these questions not fair to ask?  Why or why not?
