I have been hosting an ongoing conversation for 4 1/2 years called Wisdom Cafe. Our idea was to speak from the heart about things that mattered to you. Along the way we found our way to dialogue. We meet weekly and attendance ranges from 5-25. We are familiar with Bohmiam dialogue, non-violent communication, and are part of the orange band network. Wisdom Cafe is one of the regular events of our local community called joyful being. The purpose of our community is to help people do their soulwork by doing what helps them feel alive and connected with the intention of increasing the love, joy, peace, wisdom, compassion, tolerance, health, beauty, and humor in the world. One of our tribes (tribes are organized around different ways people do soul work) is books and discussion. We would like to let people in our community know about conversation cafes as our intentions seem to match. Focusing on intention as the basis of relationship and identity is something I am very into.

Hi soulworker,
Your Wisdom Cafe sounds very cool, and right in line with what we're doing. You're welcome to sign up your weekly dialogue for the last week of March as a Conversation Week event listed on our website. We encourage hosts to use the Conversation Cafe process for facilitating dialogue, though it's not a requirement. We're offering several host trainings by telephone in the coming weeks. Visit http://www.conversationcafe.org for the schedule of trainings. cheers, leif |
