I'm trying to add orgs to my network (Global Information Internship Program). I go through the search process, and click on "add connection" but it doesn't come up on GIIP's profile.

I do not have a problem on my personal page.

Help?

Hello Christina, on GIIP's profile, you can view who connected to GIIP by looking at the "connect from 2 people" link under the "People" tab. One of them is you, the other is me (I'm a former GIIPer from UCSC!).

Our tech team is currently working to make our network functionality between people and organizations more understandable. Thanks for asking.

From GIIP's organization page, I manually added ourselves to GIIP's network. To do this, go to the network section and click on add. From there, you can find people who've signed up on WiserEarth, and add them to this page. This process is a little awkward I admit... so its something we're addressing. You should be able to be displayed as "connected" to GIIP automatically, when you click on "Add to your network" (as you did) in the near future.

Hey, all:

One thing that trips me up is that if I add a connection to my profile, I have to remind myself to refresh/reload my profile (or the organization's) before I will see the addition.

yay! A fellow GIIPer! Thanks for adding us

thanks for answering, but maybe I wasn't clear about my problem.

I don't have a problem from my personal page adding orgs, but when I go to GIIP's page and try to add to GIIP's network (e.g. 9 to 5 Bay Area) , I go through the process: add to network, searching for an org, check the add box, then click the add button and a "blank" page comes up.

can you give it a try?

ah ic...I get the same problem. This is a bug that I think the tech team is aware of. If not, they'll know now... this problem didn't exist before, so I don't know why it's coming up. Thanks for the headsup.
