Serindipity
This is an area that many of us experience, but it has not been listed in tags.
After spending 6 months on the Island of Sri Lanka....I came to the conclusion that it was
the most serindipitious place I had ever been. Every day a "coincidence" would occur.
Just one example: I was in a displaced persons camp and a fellow came up to me and asked me to get him a water tank. He had just installed two showers with a divider and needed a tank to pump water into so as to have gravity flow. I said I would do what I could.
I walked out of the camp one block away was the main road and as I looked up there was
a truck from Dr. Without Borders pulling off to the side of the road. A woman from Spain was sitting in the passenger seat. The truck bed was filled with new water tanks. I told her I needed one. She asked where? I said around the corner, she said no problem they would deliver it!
Time: from request to delivery about seven minutes.
That is when they started calling me "Santa"
I later found out that the ancient name for Ceylon or Sri Lanka was: SERINDIP !
I know this kind of thing happens all the time to lots of us...especially if we are open to the experience and are doing the best we can be doing for the benifit of all.
