Hi Jim, if you have trouble finding discussions to be a part of, click on the "advanced search" link in the top right corner of the Discussion Forums page. Start by entering some keywords and see what results you get. I think that the advanced search link can be displayed in a more prominent place though. This is something the design team should take into consideration as they improve the look of the forums, along with other suggestions they have.
I also suggest clicking on the "View comments across the site link": http://www.wiserearth.org/comment which can be found in the top right corner of the Recent Activity page. It can show you the most recent comments and discussions taking place throughout the site. Click on "view context" to see where the comment was posted. |

Hi Michael,
Finding topics is not the problem I am having. Every single forum I go to is marked "You do not have access to post to this record " at hte top of the page and I can not post to the topics. The only topic I can post to is one that I have started. |

We made some enhancements to the site last week and inadvertently broke some of the discussion functionality in the process. Your post helped alert us to the problem, so thanks for bringing it up. I've fixed the problem, so you should be able to post to discussions, unless there are legitimate access restrictions on the topic. Please let us know if you continue to have any problems. |

Thanks. LOL I don't run a site this large but we do own two domains wich I use Mambo on and I really understaand the fact that pushing the submit button does not always return a success notification.
LOL Besides, I am to stuborn to let a little thing like not being able to post slow me down. I am looking around every chance I get and learning how things work here. It looks very encouraging. And while I realize that sustainablity is the main focus here, Our fields of interests are so extensive it is hard to always stay focused on one subject, but I wil ltry. I believe that everything is connected so for me it is all the same thing. I can not say environmental protection without meaning sustainable environment and habitat as well as everything else that this affects. No portion can be sustained successfully unless al are sustained equally. Thanks to the WE team for the great work and the great efforts that go not only into the site but into teh resources adn the organization in whole. Jim |
