Hello everyone, I'm a person who is really passionate about C2C and would like to find some way to contribute. I've done my own research into the matter and it seems like there is still much to be done! However, after my interviews with key players in the C2C movement, it doesn't seem they need someone who isn't a pioneer.

Do you any of you think the C2C movement needs passionate people who are not pioneers? Please explain.

I think this information could be very useful because I can imagine many people like me who are passionate about C2C, but just don't know how to contribute.

Where do you think the C2C movement needs improvement?

Thanks. I'm looking forward to read all of your replies.

Very impressed how you managed to interview such people! A great start would be to apply your passion writing what you learnt for us all here? Maybe also for a magazine? I'd be very interested.

How is C2C regarded in China? Do people connect it with their circular economy goal? Could be very exciting.

Next phase for C2C would be to do it for whole economies rather than just for limited examples. C2C could a splendid way to get economic growth in future now that so may people realise that trashing resources and nature is not so smart after all and that growth as usual is doomed. Doing C2C globally would not be complicated and could encompass C2C fuels as well as all products. In fact it can be a complete framework for tackling climate change without needing to waste years haggling about emissions caps.

Great to see you here Jason. I look forward to hearing more about you and your contributions!

I didn't have the intention on writing a report before I went on my trip so I didn't bring any recording equipment with me. Unfortunately, I would be unable to write a meaningful report by memory.

I have no idea how C2C is regarded in China. I've only heard of vague plans that McDonough has on designing new cities. I am looking forward to see how C2C develops in other countries though. I just wish I could help them somehow. One thing I learned during my trip is that there is a lot of work to do, but I guess that work is for pioneers and not people like me who don't like taking risks.

I think my next stop is Hamburg. I plan to speak with someone at the EPEA office. We'll see how that goes...my quest continues!!!

Funny thing about not taking risks is how it can be the riskiest strategy. A pioneer is someone who just makes their contribution without waiting to be asked or told what to do. So all of us can be pioneers if we want.

I'm keen to learn what you learn at the EPEA - have a great trip!

I would agree with that, but the problem is just that I don't know what to do. I guess that's why I'm still in the process of learning as much as I can, maybe that way I can figure out a way to contribute. If you or anyone else already has an idea, I'm willing to hear it.

I was thinking about starting an online shop just for C2C products, but I don't know useful that would be since there aren't that many C2C products for the everyday consumer.

We'll see what happens in Hamburg.

Since you're meeting C2C people anyhow you're welcome to chat with them about scaling it up to make whole economies (maybe all of them!) C2C. After all, the whole of civilisation needs to learn to take part in sustainable cycles if we want things to work out in future. Most people in C2C are project-focussed but I bet you could find some who are keen on making it work big-time!
