We've been discussing how to set up a functional site or network of sites to facilitate a new educational model. As part of that, we discussed how functional WiserEarth is as a central hub for this network. My personal feelings are that this educational network should be linked to our WiserEarth page, but not hubbed or structured from this. Here is a list of problems I've encountered with WiserEarth that makes me hesitant of its use:
- Comments seems to be unusually vague or chatter. Better suited for personal messages.
- Haven't found a way to send a message to multiple recipients, not including messaging the entire group.
- Wikipages, Discussions, Digital Files, and Resources need to be able to be organized into folders or topics.
- Very cluttered.
