As we begin to expand Biomassive, what would members, editors, and well-wishers like to see on Biomassive? What kinds of wiki-based content, resources, etc. Don't hold back. This is a very important topic, particularly with the Iowa Caucus coming up in the next few months.

The politics... you made mention of Iowa, did you know that the ex- governor of Iowa, Vilsack, signed a preemption law that outlawed any local ban on GMO's (15 states have such laws). The politics of this is very convoluted and needs careful assessment and that gets to another root problem... the farm bill. How all these concerns fold together and come out of the oven as a political cake we would be willing to eat, is another larger issue that needs careful consideration.

On January 14, there is going to be a hearing on Vilsack for Secretary of Agriculture.

There are many web sites and blogs that point out his connection to big ag and his love of turning corn in to fuel and has been a big supporter of GMO crops.  He has the backing of Monsanto and really detests local communities making local decision on the kind of food they want growen in their communities.
