Hey Eliza,
Sorry about that - it's a small bug that occurred when we were doing our latest updates to the site. We're having it fixed right now, and it should go away within a couple days.

Hi, Honore. Thanks for your response, but it is still having the same problem. I cick on "edit" under the About section & the entire section goes away.

I also am trying to complete my profile and having the same problem with the field disappearing when I hit [edit]. I am using Firefox an a MacBook.

Just an update - we're about to release a fix that should take care of this issue, but if it comes up agian, keep posting and we'll continue investigating.

At the top of my profile the pink message box appears to encourage me to fill out the About section of my profile, stating that I need only click on the Edit link to do so. But, when I click on the Edit link of the About section, that entire section disappears. It reappears when I refresh my profile back, but disappears each time I hit the Edit link. ???
