Dear all,

On August 10 the core of the core group met for the last time before 9 September (in principle) for the final preparations: Esther, Maresa, Marjolein, Petra and Leo. As always we enjoyed a warm and open atmosphere. We will continue to liaise bilaterally or in small skype meetings if and when desired.

Key developments

·         Although a world day of interconnectedness group has been created on XING for the purpose of the 999 wisdom sharing the key functionality differs too much from what we envisioned. Also the threshold to get started and requirements to moderate the group process are perceived as too demanding for the time available. Finally no enthusiasm nor willingness was found to promote this facility for the event. The last option, functionality on Skype, will be investigated.

·         The activity/invitation to send Reiki has been developed for the Netherlands and will be distributed both nationally and internationally

·         An invitation to all musicians has not been distributed by PlanetMusic. We will distribute it ourselves.

·         Barbara Rogoski who is writing a book ‘living your namaste’ has kindly offered to help us with some jobs

·         The Q-Search event and Karin Sorbi’s workshop will take place in Seats2Meet at Utrecht CS (from 13.00 pm). Drinks and snacks will be combined with attendees of other activities (18.00pm). In the evening a meeting on connecting leadership is facilitated.

·         BeTheChange mini-symposium will be open to 100 attendees max. The schedule (9.00 am to 12.00am) allows for a combination with other activities like the ones previously mentioned

·         So far our focus has been to invite people to host events. Now is the time to focus on promotion to attend the activities offered. Although it is not easy for working people to take a day off and attend there are different groups available like those self-employed, pensioned, studying or those without a job. All of these groups can benefit from the wealth of offerings at relatively low prices or even for free.

·         An answer to the question about technical solution for webcams per activity is pending

·         More clarity is required about the 1Mandala upload process such including timeframes, portraits, the extent to which individuals can be identified (certain group of children)

·         A checklist would be helpful for hosts of the events

·         The Day After we will write a memo giving a short overview of what happened during the events. Intention is to pay respect and gratitude to all hosts and participants. A synopsis will be published by the Albert Schweitzer foundation.

·         Contacts have been so deep during the past year or so that we cannot imagine not coming together in future.

With love and gratitude,

Leo Sonneveld
