Yeah, I had this question quite a while back. Michael, as to how they should be displayed, it seems an item in "FAQ" would help people understand what these are and how they are tallied. And Bowo, I agree it isn't urgent, but an addition to "FAQ" should be easy to do. On the other hand, I still do not understand how some "Edits" seem to snowball and multiply.

For definitions, it appears to me "Additions" are entirely new organizations, resources, jobs, events, groups, etc., added to the WE database, while "Edits" are changes to existing examples of the above, plus changes to a person's individual profile. Is this correct, and if so, is it sufficient?

Thanks for the comments you all, and adding it to the FAQ page Mike.

Just wanted to clarify a bit further on "Additions". I noticed that beside adding the obvious entities (org, resource, job, event, wikipage) the following things also increases the number:
- starting a new discussion: (don't know yet how many addition, but I'm guessing at least 2)
- adding an image (uploading it to WE): count as 1 addition per image
- adding entities to groups: count as 3 additions per entity added

The last item on the list indicates that "making connections" (between entities) counts more than simple "add to database" !

Again, not of high importance, just to clarify and maybe help "competitive" users to better understand their "score", appreciate the "score" of others and get high "score" for themselves.
