When I recently spoke about my interest in this Community of Practice, I talked about how what I most want is to really learn the practical aspects of feeding myself sustainably. I want to learn and share real techniques for growing my own food or buying/trading food locally, cooking it in a healthy way and disposing of food waste in a way that really benefits rather than pollutes. So, I just wondered, what are the really concrete, practical bits of knowledge that we can exchange and share here. I guess my first question is  . . . I bought some carrot and swiss chard seeds this weekend . . . anyone have any ideas where to start in terms of planting these?

I look forward to learning the more practical side of feeding ourselves sustainably in this community of practice!
