Ah, I see now. The WikiPages associated with the Editors group can be connected through clicking 'connect to other pages.' That helps.

On a related note, it would be nice to make Areas of Focus, when 'connecting' with an entity on WiserEarth, searchable by connected entities. In other words, when posting a job, a search for Areas of Focus using the organization's name would locate Areas to which this organization has been connected. This will save loads of time browsing through lists of Areas of focus!

I think a new layout for the Areas of Focus page is in order. Some changes that would improve usability include:
1) Move "Main Areas of Focus TOC" to the top of the page, freeing up the additional lateral space for the list of Areas of Focus (to reduce the number of line breaks in single areas. 2) Break out the numbers of entities associated with each Area into sortable columns just like the "Browse People" page. 3) Set-off the top level Areas of Focus by using line breaks, bold text or indentation. 4) Add a column for recency. This may be undesirable as it could highlight inactivity where we would like it to go unnoticed but would add some transparency to the system. Comments? Thanks! |
