I agree with your outline generally... I really like the idea of being able to have an "idea tracker" where a person (or persons / group... thru collaboration) can develop a solution than visually map with the wiserearth tools exactly what it solves. So many communication issues present themselves on wiserearth due to the broad array of diverse individuals/ cultures that are active here. this would resolve a lot of that: help a person make the vision for their idea explicit.
...maybe we could take this to the Suggestions group eventually, or maybe something already exists i dont know...
I also support the idea of:

That seems like it would be approaching the organizational directory / mapping efforts from a very effective angle: allow us to organize / map: people, groups, organizations, networks around specific local and global issues / problems so as to maximize our ability to organize and collaborate in efficiently developing solutions.
It seems like with the current system established networks are being plugged into the directory but very little pioneering activity / collaboration is taking place; I could be wrong but i dont see a group/ thinktank on wiserearth that has been organized via a product of being on wiserearth.
the closest example I can think of is the Women's Earth Alliance, but they are supported by both NCI and the Earth Island Institute. @ 121 members they are one of the larger groups on wiserearth... but 121 members is really not that many.

I am new to this but my current perspective is the value in a wiki site like wiserearth is to enable enough of the right kind of people/ organizations to actively / candidly engage in true collaboration to resolve an issue/ problem.
The problem I see with regard to wiserearth is that the big obstacle to overcome... which is true for people within any professional climate -- inclusive of the global environmental/ social justice community -- is to get individuals to set aside their personal ambitions and get away from a turf-based, territorial interaction with idea production and to have the personal security, career comfort and confidence to engage in true open public collaboration.
I am not sure how to resolve this? |

Youth are not pofessionals: thus the idea behind wiservid... enable youth to collaborate & problem solve etc... they will not be held back like adults, they just need the incentive

Expanding AoF and introducing AoF Sub-forums, ideas-filter/tracker, macro-to-micro organisation structure
Notize: in terms of building synergy, I think it was not right to list the organisations behind each AoF and instead to build a bigger organisation over WE community for each AoF with better communication and operation features and tools.
AoF Sub-forum/Sub-networks
Is it possible to directley communicate with members from specific AoF one belong to and region?
For example I am peace-maker in the middle-east and it would be great if people deeling with same build through WE a strong functional peace network/community.

Wiser Social life
There is different sorts of communities, in my eys the most fundemental one is the social one on the gound, our villiages, cities and nighourhoods ..
To tag people from same origin or living place and have discussions in relation to communal live.
Is it possible build related sub-networks to communicate and operate on that basic?
macro-to-micro organisation structure
I thought in case bigger goups/sub-ntworks will be build from differnt organisations certain process and organization will be required for the efforts taking place there.
WE can develop a mini-solution out of the one is been used to manage WE as whole. FOr example the big group will need editors.
WE can take the feedbacks of usage of those mini-managment-solution to ehance the bigger solution.
