When writing long posts in comment section/discussions/forums, I find that the text area is too short, so I have to scroll up and down when referencing stuff I wrote earlier or to review the whole post.

Maybe the following options will help for this situation:

1. Make the text area resizable by Firefox-based browser. I'm using Netscape Navigator 9.0.0.5 (based on Firefox 2.0.0.11) where for some site, I can enlarge the text area by dragging the outer lines. There's a plugin for Firefox that can achieve the same result. This though, doesn't work for WiserEarth's text area.

2. Make the text area longer by default (into at least twice the current length).

3. Provide a preview button so user can see the whole post prior to actually posting it.
