I am very interested in contributing to OSN, but I am having
trouble understanding how I can. Other members from the OSN meeting in
Charleston have expressed confusion as well. At this meeting, it was mentioned that
there would be more than one site to host our materials. Is Wiser Earth more of
a discussion board? And what is the main purpose for the Google Site that is
linked to the Wiser Earth page? Perhaps what we need is clear and practical instructions
about where information is located and the purpose of each of the different
sites and parts of the sites. Something like a map for how this network will
function. For example, I'm a part of the Curriculum Module
Production/Evaluation team. Should I be updating the page in the wiki that is
titled "Curriculum Module Production Discussion"? And most importantly, where
will the modules and teaching material be hosted?

I am also wondering where to find the already existing modules that we are to launch. I am in the Production team as well and I see that there are two "windows" from where we can start working: Wiser Earth to discuss changes on the Wiki page, in the Production discussion page, and the google sites link. I think that we are to check under the "survey modules" section that takes you to "Tools and Information" and to "Institutions with modules" but then I can't find a way to edit any of these, just view the websites. I wonder how one can edit them, to do the suggested search for modules in the list of institutions and post them in the google site. I was wondering if we are to be given admin privileges? I am sorry but I must be missing something. |
