Heather again! As (happily) expected! :)
There are many 'new', 'experimental' and 'edgy' things in WE that even I need to ask (myself and others) from time to time just to be sure. No harm in asking before doing.
The letter for the annual email blast and for the daily/weekly organization pages co-editing would probably need to be different. The former by definition is restricted to the same email for every organization, while the latter allows for customization and personalization.
So, I think you can experiment with one of the drafts, and also include some customization and try to make it more personal. Would be great to hear how the response(s) are. What worked, what didn't work. We can even try sending it not to the organization main email (usually "info@....." or "contact@..."), but directly to the people in that organization.
In the long run however, it's probably better to use a different format than the annual email. We don't want it to be considered as 'spamming' ("Why is WE sending me the same email twice, when it's stated that they'll only send once a year?!?"). By making it more personal and original (coming from a community member and not from a 'marketing department'), the likelihood of getting a response and follow-up action could even be higher. We can think of setting up another wikipage for these 'personalized' emails so that others can take lessons from when compiling their own email (feel free to start that wiki right away once you've had some success).
How does this sound?
P.S. No need to add the wikipage into the sandbox group, as we'd like to keep the wikipages module for those newly added to WE and related to an organization page being co-edited. We can just provide a link to the letter wikipage in one of the bulletin boards, probably in the "How this group works", step 7.

Bowo!
Me again, of course!
I have been looking at the draft letter:
Invitation to Connect Email to Organizations in WE Directory
I am about to do another run at some of theses sandbox orgs, and this letter - even in draft form - is way better than my communications.
I am hesitant about just running with certain things until I feel well versed in WE processes, so I am asking about using this letter in its draft form and connecting it as a resource here in the sandbox. Is this what you would expect as a reasonable use of WE resources and editorial discretion?
best,
h
