In order to successfully and effectively manage this portal, members of Editor Groups need to keep track of information and resources relevant to sustainable cities. This includes, but is not limited to:
-Tracking events -Highlighting organizations who have a relevant role/contribution -Linking worthwhile resources (articles, books, workshops) -Profiling people active in this field
We anticipate that much of this information will be generated within the smaller, issue-specific groups, and as such will not be easily visible/accessible to the larger community interested in sustainable cities. With the extensive scope of the WiserEarth community, there is the potential for vast amounts of valuable resources and information being exchanged below the radar screen. It is the intended role of this Editor Group to interface with these smaller, issue-specific groups in order to bring the most valuable and relevant material forward for public display and use on the Sustainable Cities portal.
I invite both comments and questions regarding this task.
