Facebook began with a way to list classes and connect with classmates or professors. I think this would be a powerful way to connect users with those who are willing and have the ability to provide expertise in a field of interest.

A potential resource is an organization such as:

They will soon be introducing a platform for connecting students across Tennessee with teachers and physical activity instructional content. Part of this system of course is accessing the course records of schools across the state. I am sure it would be a different story for universities, which is the main idea here.

I will not add them to the database because, unfortunately they are for-profit. Perhaps we could license a small part of their technology though, allowing them to claim support of open-source and Civil Society.
