A top priority is to seal the building from drafts. It makes a huge difference if cold air doesn't blow in, and work air leak is kept in. But also keep in mind indoor air quality (IAQ) is often overlooked, with nasty consequences for occupants. As they say "Seal it tight, but vent it right". These two are key for a comfortable and healthy home.
