Glad to see you joined this new group :) I sent a message to an administrator about how to best link the page you have been working on to this group, so that anyone who joins the group can easily work on it. In the meantime, if you have ideas for what you would like the page to look like, I thought that would be a good topic of discussion.
Personally, I think it would be nice to have a clean, short page that introduces the topic and links to sub pages with more specifics. For example, the descriptions of each species could be on a separate page--or even one page per species, complete with photos.
Another thing to mention is that Wikipedia is open source, so if you want to use any content from there it is okay to do so. ~K
