We've just implemented a way to completely lock people out of editing anything on the site once their account has been deactivated, so this should finally put an end to any spam from this particular user. As Peggy mentioned, we're working on other methods to prevent this from happening in the future, so you should see some improvements in that area in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for your help and patience.

Got one early this morning. She's still active. SMTP path was through web3.wiserearth.com. I have since hidden my email address from public view but it wasn't before.

we have had a few spam emails over the weekend. We have de activited the accounts right away. We are also working on several ways to prevent this from happening in the future.
We created a wiki page on the issue: http://www.wiserearth.org/article/4675d3ede2894297713e3d12778032b5/new/1 Other things we are looking it as the ability for any users to report a spam email right away from the message they receive. Also we are looking into having better Alert Systems. Thank you all for your patience |

I am receiving similar emails and would love for there to be some way to block messages from spammers...my last two emails were both spam. .i tried to search for them as users and did not find them.
