This is wonderful. Just added my vote.
Have you thought of doing it "The Age of Stupid" way? (the movie that will premiere in the UK this month). They sell shares and will give dividen if the movie makes profit, that is of course if you intend to take this movie to the theaters and sell DVDs worldwide. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, we've thought of that. It's still a possibility, but I think it's more likely that we'll aim for bringing in donations instead, for various reasons. Quite an interesting model they used, though.

Hello people,
I want to let you know that Kristen Chamberlin and I are producing a film about The Great Turning.
It's called The Great Turning, and we're doing it with the support of Joanna Macy and others, including David Korten, whom we interviewed last year.
You can learn more about the project, sign up for our email list, offer ideas, make a donation if you like, and more at www.thegreatturningfilm.org. We will be adding clips from some of our interviews every week or two.
There are two other things you might be able to help with right now.
1. We need to raise funds for the project so our small team can really focus on getting this done as soon as possible. Ideas about, and especially introductions to, potential major funders would be greatly appreciated.
2. We're in the running for some funds being given out by Green Mountain Coffee. Part of their process is seeing which ideas generate significant community support. If you go to JustMeans you can look at the project under my name and, if you like, vote for it and add a comment. It's quick and easy to do. Even better would be to then send the link to your friends and ask them to do the same. The voting ends soon so please check it out this week.
You know how helpful it is to have our times framed by David, Joanna, and others. We're wanting to bring their message out to many more people. We need their wisdom right now.
