I saw that this organization had been flagged for discussion. It seems to me that this is a t-shirt company and while it seems they have a nice mission, doesn't subscribe adequately enough to the Wiser Content Standards to remain included.

Hmm. I agree. This would be a great candidate for WiserBusiness, but it does seem to be for profit.

i agree with sdlamm, this is a t-shirt company. it would be good if a representative of the group could come in on this discussion.

to settle the matter - one of the founders of this company wrote this, "I'll look forward to being a part of WiserBusiness. The whole concept of Peace Together was to develop a profit-business that supports a social-profit (non-profit) foundation. So we are working on developing the Peace Together Foundation - not yet a 501c3, but soon to be. Just working on the paper work. We've already sent money to people even though we aren't making a profit. We just believe so much in what we are doing. We are on a mission!"
I believe that this org can be moved to Out of Scope due to its status as a For Profit Entity. |

ok, thanks for the input. I went ahead and changed it to Out of Scope.

Good to see a strong lil discussion going on, despite the somewhat oxymoronic nature of what I just said.

New guy here on the block. Peace sucks in Sri Lanka. There is a lot of profit in it.
The solution of the Buddhist government (80%) is to bomb the other 20% (Hindus) off the island. Instead they live and move into luxury accomodation tents; actually there are 160,000 of them camping in the East of the island. How kool, now that they have left the deep sea port where Amerika can now build its base to watch China. So, in the midst of this we at Tsunami Haven Projects Society, attempt to bring a little love and education and some books and build little one room schools for the poor. |
