Constellation Collaboration: A Model for Multi-Organizational Partnership
By Tonya Surman
Centre for Social Innovation
June 2006
The Constellation model is a complexity-inspired governance framework for multi-organizational collaboration. It is a way of organizing a group of interested parties to meet a need without having to create a new organization to ‘hold’ the issue. It is a tool to help us recognize and become conscious designers in a complex ecosystem of organizational collaboration.

I am looking for people who have real experience in vertical farm methods. It seems to me that we can reclaim abandoned buildings in cities and towns to convert into vertical farms and convert residential units into combined living and foold growing spaces. It seems that an entire new manufacturing sector can be created uniting networks of manufacturers to produce modular components for retrofitting existing structures that have adequate support infrastructure to use as vertical farming operations. I once worked at the W.T. Rawleigh Company in Freeprot Illinois which was a vertical manufacturing operation that would be ideal for such an operation as it had vats and extensive water and wastewater piping -
It would seem that a sustainable economy could be built around this. Vertical farming modular componets, vertical farm house modules that retrofit an exisiting residential strucutre to be both a living space and food growing space - I am certain great minds are working on this - how can I connect to you?
