About
Municipal waste as a biological nutrient for feeding pigs? Not sure William McDonough had this in mind for a cradle to cradle design. At least not the way it's pictured here. This photo of pigs eating from a waste dump was taken in January 2008 in the outskirts of Hyderabad (aka Cyberabad), near Medchal Road in Andhra Pradesh, India. The herder who was on a motorcycle, expressed his displeasure at my photographing his pigs for fear that it may affect his meat business.
What's very interesting is the free-riding crows who are waiting for the pigs to unearth the goodies. The pigs knew intruders were around when the crows flew away. Symbiosis. Note the white birds in the background.
How many mercury thermometers, cadmium batteries, and intestinal diseases can fit in one pig's belly?
