Speakers:

Walden Bello, Focus on the Global South
Kevin Danaher,
Global Exchange
Susan George,
Transnational Institute

Chaired by Barry Gills, editor of the journal Globalizations

Followed by open discussion from the floor.

The International Studies Association (ISA) was founded in 1959 by a group of academics and practitioners seeking to pursue mutual interests in world affairs through the organization of a professional association. The ISA\'s interdisciplinary focus, worldwide membership, and vigorous promotion of international research and education have made it the most respected and widely known scholarly association in the field of International Studies.

RETHINKING GLOBALIZATIONS: This book series is designed to break new ground in the literature on globalization and its academic and popular understanding. Rather than perpetuating or simply reacting to the economic understanding of globalization, this series seeks to capture the term and broaden its meaning to encompass a wide range of issues and disciplines and convey a sense of alternative possibilities for the future.

Light food and refreshments will be served.
Meet the authors of the Rethinking Globalizations book series.
