About

"STAND-UP FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE" CELEBRATES THE
UNITED NATIONS PEACE DAY
AT COMEDY CLUBS WORLWIDE.

Most Peace Day Comedy Shows are on Sept. 20th or on Peace Day Sept. 21st. This event brings awareness and media attention to the U.N. Peace Day. We promote teaching children about Peace Heroes and expect that Peace Day can become as recognized as Earth Day inspiring a new generation of Peace Teachers, Peace Heroes, and Peace Leaders. Visit www.THINKpeace.net for locations, information and links to other Peace Day activities.

The thinkPEACE Network's Primary Peace Promoting Goals:

1) To promote the UN's annual September 21st International Day of Peace. It is our hope that Peace Day can become as recognized as Earth Day.
Peace Day
will inspire a new generation of peace thinkers, teachers and leaders in the same way that Earth Day inspired environmentalism.

2) To promote the idea that teaching young people about peace is more important than teaching young people about wars, generals and conquerors. What peace heroes (that have resolved conflict using non-violence) do your children learn about in school?
It is essential that we bring Peace Day to our schools to allow learning and inspiration to begin. Young people will become our new Peace Leaders. They need to be inspired by Peace Heroes.

3) To promote the ideal that World Peace Is Possible (it will take a while, but peace is where mankind needs to advance to). Look at it this way: at one point people believed the Earth was flat, that landing a man on the moon was impossible and that the Berlin wall would never come down.
We need to begin to think and teach that World Peace Is Possible!

YOUR CLUB CAN EASILY PARTICIPATE IN "STAND-UP or MUSIC FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE" At No Cost To Your Facility

There are no expenditures for you or donations to be collected. It is business as usual for your club, with one great exception--the extra media attention that you will get for a Thursday evening and the respect you gain from acknowledging the UN's "International Day of Peace".

We will provide you with a "International Peace" poster for the clubs window.

At your option, we will provide a U.N. approved brochure for the audience that explains Peace Day and a list of peaceful music (such as John Lennon's "Imagine") that you may play while people are being seated.

If you would like to sign-up your club or if you have any questions, use the contact us button.

"Stand-Up for International Peace" and "Musicians for International Peace" are promoted by thinkPEACE.net

thinkPEACE.net is a California based non-commercial organization whose events will be listed on the United Nation's website (International Day of Peace) and other websites listing Peace Day events.
