About

The Marion Institute will be hosting the 3rd Annual “Bioneers by the Bay: Connecting for Change” conference at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Ocotber 19-21 with a special kickoff event on Thursday the 18.

Bioneers by the Bay is a satellite of the San Rafael Bioneers conference, an annual gathering of scientific and social innovators who have demonstrated visionary and practical models for restoring the Earth and its communities. It will be the northeast’s foremost gathering on a wide range of vital and interconnected topics related to the healing of our planet and ourselves.   Topics include social justice and ethical business practices, spirituality and health, natural foods, lifestyles, and indigenous practices, ecology and metahistory. These are deeply explored in plenaries, workshops, and networking. As exhibitors, green businesses and organizations connect with attendees and provide the resources to effect the world they live in through action and lifestyle. A presentation by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will be the special Bioneers kick-off event on the evening of Thursday October 18. Kennedy has dedicated his career to the conservation and stewardship of the environment by forming Waterkeeper Alliance, and as a lawyer, Kennedy has worked to prosecute those who pollute the environment and establish environmental regulations for businesses.   Other presenters include Bill McKibben, Naomi Wolf, Simran Sethi, Diane Wilson, Dr. Joia Mukherjee, Van Jones, Mark Shapiro, Dr. Mark Hyman, Gunter Pauli, Craig Holdrege, Susan Witt, Dean Cycon, Alex de Polari and Janine Benyus.

The Early-Bird Registration for this years conference has been extended to OCTOBER 1st.  We urge you to register soon, as there is a limited capacity.
