Sowing the Solutions: Global Leaders Reflect on the Food Price Crisis

For the next event in WEA's Weaving the Worlds Speaker's Series, we are so incredibly honored to feature Anuradha Mittal and Temra Costa, as they reflect upon the rising food price crisis and how women and girl children are the first to suffer the effects. We will not only be talking about the institutions and forces that have influenced this global crisis, that even we in the US are feeling the effects of, but also highlighting the local, sustainable solutions we can all employ and joyfully participate in. We are also pleased to have the amazing Tina Malia performing her beautiful music to help us celebrate this coming together.

The first event in April with Joanna Macy was incredible  and has set the stage for a continuing series of powerful, unique gatherings that warmly welcome intellectual, emotional and physical connection. It was amazing and I am so excited for this May event! Anuradha is one of my personal heroes, as she is to many folks in the Bay Area and around the world.

We hope you can come and weave yourself into our tapestry of global change lead by women. We really do believe that every time we gather, the world changes! Please find event details below.
