Products for the Other 90%

A Coalition of Product Designers for the Other 90%

Not as designers alone, nor as firms or groups or even regions, can we design, develop and deliver all the products needed for the "Other 90%"--  those underserved, poor, developing, and emerging communities.  It takes collaboration, cooperation and a global network of creatives to rise together to the challenge.   Awareness:  Who needs us and what products ...learn more

I have been deeply involved with The Compassionate Listening Project for many years.  For myself personally, it guides my deepest practice of healing, peace making and transforming in the world.  Even with all the skills so many of us know, use and even teach, I think you would find this training deeply inspiring, supportive and enlightening.  We call it “Healing Our World from the Inside Out” and offer ways to move from protection to connection.  For those of you in organizations, this training would be a great support to staff, board members, and as well as colleagues, friends and families you work with.  It’s great way to bring love, joy and healing to our lives:  Our approach is highly experiential, giving participants ways to integrate this deep practice into their life.  Compassionate Listening helps improve relationships with family, friends and co-workers, brings peace and healing to the world – and, perhaps most important of all, nurtures compassionate support for ourselves – so essential especially for those of us working in community support services who risk burn out and exhaustion.   We would be happy to explore the possibility of a group rate – and are willing to provide scholarships to extend our reach to those who may otherwise not be able to attend – especially young people (age 18 and up) and people of color.
