training and Permaculture Design at RFM, Inc.'s, corporate campus in
Brighton, MI!
Friday evening talk: Permaculture and Nature Awareness - Our Human Inheritance, the Foundation of Regeneration
The evening will be story-rich and transformative. We will touch on everything from ecological design, to mentoring and Richard Louv's "Last Child in the Woods", to ecological economy, to advanced awareness of nature and self. Participants will gain:
Our team will facilitate an energized and eye-opening day of advanced Nature Awareness training for participants with the dual purpose of beginning to give solution-direction to the landowner's goals and questions for Permaculture Design. Through involvement at all phases of this exciting process, participants will come away with:
This course takes place at RFM, Inc.'s corporate campus in Brighton, MI. RFM purchased the land (previously farmland) for industrial development in 1982. We will be asking one major question: "What is required of a cutting tool manufacturing business in southeastern Michigan, with strong links to a faltering automotive industry, to plan for 100 years of success and regeneration starting now?" The remaining forests surrounding are oak forests on steep slopes, with the other major ecological feature being extensive wetlands that surround on all sides - home to herons, muskrats, geese, foxes, coyotes, deer, and many other species!
