About [Edit]
Enhance your curriculum with hands-on projects that directly connect children to their
school garden, or simply the landscape where they play. Projects provide a deeper
understanding of the built environment, and bridge children to ideas of renewable
resources, the importance of native plants, and local economies. Underlying the potent
learning of this activity, children are given the raw materials to create their own home
space. Providing a psychologically healing experience, a place for fantasy and
imagination, to carry them into a place of expanded understanding and awareness of
themselves.
Projects can be used and modified for any school-age child ranging from pre-K through
6th grade. Learn techniques to integrate the projects to language arts, math, and
science curricula.
Materials Included: Saturday Sept. 1st 10 am- 2pm, Sunday Sept. 2nd 10-1pm
