About [Edit]
Green My Ride is an interactive and fun community-building event, to be held at the Phinney Neighborhood Center on Saturday, April 26, 2008.
The goal is to increase awareness of green transportation alternatives. We aim to inspire our neighbors to
rethink their transportation options, move toward greener rides, and ultimately reduce their personal
CO2 emissions.
FEATURING:
∗ Awesome green machines (electric, hybrid, and biodiesel vehicles)
∗ Bike and gear swap
∗ Transportation displays
∗ Kids' activities
∗ Speakers, theater, films, and demos
∗ Live music by the Hayburners and friends
∗ Great giveaways while supplies last
∗ And tons of ideas for greening your ride!
Come by foot, bike, bus, or carpool...rain or shine!
Start time: Saturday, April 26, 2008 -- 9:30 am
End time: Saturday, April 26, 2008 -- 3:30 pm
Event type: Community Event
The event will include demonstrations, a bike swap, car displays, and stage events. It will end with a community forum on the future of our neighborhoods -- how to embrace density without losing sight of our neighborhood
history and sense of community.
