In the midst of global economic collapse and a war that “may not end in
our life time,” costing the world trillions of dollars and innumerable
lives, it is time to come together around a new economics. RSF Social
Finance and Praxis Peace Institute are dedicated to building the
foundations for a just, equitable, peaceful and sustainable economy.
Attendees of the Economics of Peace will learn from theoreticians and leaders of the most promising alternative economic models today. Examples such as cooperative businesses, complementary currencies, green business, green jobs, slow money, micro-credit, slow food, the living wage, social finance, credit unions, network economies, local living economies, associative economics, and more.
The challenge before us is to align the efforts and energies of the millions of individuals, businesses, and organizations that are working to transform our failing economy. "The Economics of Peace" Conference will provide a space for breakthroughs in individual, organizational and network collaboration to occur. Our intention is to take the knowledge and inspiration that we gain, the new connections that we make and put it all towards advancing network alliances that are based on a common mission to build the new economy.
