Monthly Call Series
These 1 hour calls are a great chance for you to get familiar or refresh your permaculture breadth of understanding. As we talk with experienced mentors in the permaculture movement we will find out what the pressing issues on their mind are and how are they incorporating solutions to those issues into their projects.
Make yourself a cup of tea, and call in from your own home as we chat with permaculture professionals about how they are taking practical steps in their own communities to create change. Each month there will be discussion on how these permaculture professionals are taking action in their own community as well as a chance for you to ask questions. We will also give an introduction of our newly released project EarthActionMentor.org.
Instructions: E-mail us at monthlycalls@earthactionmentor.org for call-in instructions.
September – Social Permaculture
Who: Starhawk
When: September 24, 5:00 pm, PST
Starhawk
is a committed global justice activist and organizer, and the author or
coauthor of ten books. Her works include The Spiral Dance, long
considered the essential text for the Neo-Pagan movement, and the
now-classic ecotopian novel, The Fifth Sacred Thing. A personal
favorite is award-winning Webs of Power: Notes from the Global
Uprising. Starhawk’s latest book is The Earth Path: Grounding Your
Spirit in the Rhythms of Nature.
Starhawk travels internationally teaching magic, the tools of ritual, and the skills of activism and permaculture. She lives part-time San Francisco, in a collective house with her partner and friends, and part-time in a little hut in the woods in Cazadero, California, where she practices permaculture in her extensive gardens, and writes.
