Biochar Evolutionaries

Let's network biochar enthusiasts from around the world! I know many of us are connected through the International Biochar Initiative and other regional groups but some of us may have smaller biochar projects and applications that are flying below traditional radar.

About  [Edit]

Since 1982, Rocky Mountain Institute®  has demonstrated how creative solutions can create wealth, jobs and consumer choice, while strengthening national security and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.

In San Francisco this October, RMI2009 will bring together leaders in technology and industry to discuss and debate the challenges presented in ending the fossil-fuel era. In addition, we will explore solutions that will help society make better use of its resources through efficiency and renewable energy. RMI’s work in transportation, energy resources and the built environment has created an opportunity for fundamental change in the way the world produces and consumes energy.

Highlights of this symposium include:

  • Break out group presentations and discussion with RMI practitioners on the latest solutions-oriented strategies.
  • Plenary Sessions with leading industry experts on key efficiency and renewable energy issues.
  • RMI Quest for Solutions (RMIQ) panel discussion, hosted by Greenbiz.com. Titled Reinventing Fire, this engaging talk will feature Amory Lovins and several internationally renowned thought leaders discussing the readily available opportunities to end our dependence on fossil fuels
