Ananda Village presents
a special screening of
Geoff Lawton's 'Harvesting Water the Permaculture Way'
Monday, August 25 at 7:30pm
at Hansa Mandir, Ananda Village
14618 Tyler Foote Road
Nevada City, CA
478-7500
This hour-long film details the process involved in creating permaculture water infrastructure on a small farm in eastern Australia. The film takes the viewer through the discussion of planning issues, then shows a crew of apprentices working step by step to mark the outlines of the project. Detailed views of the handwork and the fine-tuning of the machine work follow, with Geoff's commentary clarifying issues involved in creating a pond and swale water catchment system.
Ananda Village Property Services has worked with all Ananda residents on maintaining the land, water storage, road building, and food production for some 40 years. In view of our need as residents in a rural setting to increase our food production and preserve and enhance our water supply, we welcome the insights provided by this long-time expert in permaculture design.
Paul Racko, a student of Mr. Lawton, Certified Permaculture Designer and founder of the Sierra Permaculture Guild, will present the video and host a question and answer session after the presentation.
Contributions ($2-$5) for the showing will be welcome.
