In conjunction with the development of an environmental learning center in the hills above Ochos Rios, Jamaica, acclaimed designer, Larry
Santoyo, Director of EarthFlow Design Works (www.earthflow.com), is
leading a Two Week Permaculture Design Course April 19- May 2, 2009 at
the center that will allow participants to experience living and
learning the principles of sustainability that will apply to any
location and endeavor in the world.
For over twenty years, the Permaculture Design Course has been transforming lives and enabling people to make a real difference in their communities and businesses. The training includes the most inspiring examples of sustainable land use and human ingenuity from around the globe and includes:
* Towards a Sustainable Global CitiZenry
* Natural Building & Property Development
* Organic Food Forest Jungletry
* Sustainable Agriculture
* Strategies for Energy Descent & Peak Oil
* Re-Localizing Food Production
* Green Business Strategies
* Eco-Village Design
Daily life will include camping in a young food forest, drinking pure harvested rainwater and showering outdoors in the mild Jamaican air, while working together in teams to design sustainable solutions for their group projects.
Optional field trips, beaches, culture and cuisine, local music & markets, hiking, bird watching, yoga, massage, swimming, horseback riding, jungle canopy tour, river tubing, sailing and more.
The course is an opportunity for anyone serious about creating a sustainable future and looking to experience adventure-style learning.
