IMAGES AND VOICES OF HOPE
10TH Annual World Summit

Save The Date - September 25 - 28th

Place: Peace Village Learning and Retreat Center, Haines Falls, New York
RSVP:  to Donna at summit@ivofhope.org

Plan now to join us for the 10th Annual World Summit of Images and Voices of Hope (IV of Hope). Images and Voices of Hope (www.ivofhope.org) is a global conversation about the impact of public image making and public story telling on people -- on families, communities, cultures and the world.

The purpose of IVOH is to strengthen the role of media as agents of world benefit, expanding the awareness of choices those in media make that raise trust, generate meaning, and amplify hope thereby enhancing the community's capacity for constructive action.

This year we are celebrating the 10th Year Anniversary Summit. In addition to the conversation we will be hosting the Awards of Appreciation and Film Showcase.  For those interested in sharing your work at the summit, please contact us at info@ivofhope.org. Nominations for the Awards of Appreciation will also be accepted at info@ivofhope.org. More specific information will follow in the invitation.

Estimados amigos y amigas comunicadores, comunicadoras, y artistas:

Marianne Lizana Moreno
Coordinadora
Brahma Kumaris, Costa Rica

I saw that there was an Images and Voices of Hope BK meeting in Costa Rica -- how cool! So glad that you are all ready connected to this group. I went to the conference last year in New York and it was very good...much smaller than the Alliance meetings (60 people, not 600!), but in a way you can do more with an intimate group.

Here in Costa Rica, we will have our meeting too this month.

So goog to hear about you. I was last week at Bramah Kumaris office talking about this.

Sowing Seeds of Peace

"Lord make me an instrument
of your peace.
Where there is hatred,
let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light,
and where there is sadness, joy."

--St. Francis of Assisi

Today we can sow seeds of peace with every thought we think and every word we speak. We can usher in a time when the power of love replaces the love of power because we have within us the divine ability to determine with every thought that such a holy state of love exists. Peace is our responsibility. It begins with us and the love and peace we are willing to bestow upon our fellow man, not in some distant time when all is well, but right now, in this moment, when it is needed most.

May you always be willing to sow seeds of love and peace.
