About
This is the fourth in the series Eight Steps to a Blue Mountains Food Garden, presented by Susan Girard and Lizzie Connor. They can be attended as a full course, as stand-alone workshops or in any combination. You choose where you need help. The series as a whole is aimed at guiding novice gardeners at their own pace from their first box-garden of vegies to a year-round harvest of vegies and fruit.
This fourth workshop is called "Warm Season Vegies from Organic Seeds & Seedlings - in containers and/or no-dig-garden beds".
In this workshop you'll be guided in selecting a range of annual vegetables suitable for easy summer growing in an Upper Blue Mountains garden; planting them from organic seeds and/or as seedlings; and bringing them successfully to harvest.
We will also briefly introduce the next four workshops in the series, which will be offered in 2009, and are designed for people who feel that they have passed the "beginner" stage and now want to get serious about growing their own food in line with basic permaculture principles.
For more information (including a brochure outlining the series as a whole), email lizzieconnor@bigpond.com.
