rules
The International Films + Visual Arts Festival Ecofilms, takes place in Rodos, on the third week of June.
The Festival invites the participation of films –fiction and documentaries-, shorts and features, encouraging issues related with the natural, the human and the build environment, the water and the wetlands.
All participant films have to be produced after 1st January of the previous year.
COMPETITIONS
There are four competition sections:
Feature Length Films
Medium Length Films
Short Length Films
Audience Awards
Films which participate in the competition sections of the ECOFILMS they would have to be a premiere in Greece
No restrictions in terms of gender, format and
duration are required.
SELECTION
The Ecofilms Board of Directors, choose the
films to be admitted at the competition sections
according to its final judgment.
The authors admitted to the competitions will be
informed by 15th May.

* a DVD of the film
which
must be
sent via mail, with the caption “without
commercial value” on the envelope
* max 6
photographs of the film and the director(s)'

* film script and commentary, in
English
* an abstract of the film and a CV of the
director
DVDs will be stored in the
Festival’s archives.
COSTS
No entry fees are required.
Shipping expenses for sending the DVDsrequired for the selection, are covered by the
participants.
Shipping expenses for sending the definitive
prints of the invited film are covered by the
Festival.
INSURANCE
The Festival insures prints from arrival to
departure during the stay within the festival
boundaries.
HOSPITALITY
Festival covers hospitality in hotel and travel
expenses (Athens-Rodos-Athens).
TRANSLATIONS
Films will be simultaneously subtitled
if are not in english language.
JURIES AND PRIZES
The official prizes will be assigned by
qualified juries each composed of at least three
members in each category.
Other prizes will be communicated during the
Festival.
FILM CIRCULATION
The invited films can enter in other motion
picture festival taking place after the Ecofilms
International Films & Visual Arts Festival.
The Festival organization will settle agreements
with the rights holder.
ACCEPTANCE
Participation in the festival is strictly
conditioned by the acceptance of the
aforementioned regulations.
Any case which does not find application in the
aforementioned regulations shall be settled by
the Board of Directors.
