FOR COMPASSIONATE LIVING CEREMONY

You are invited to participate in a special Ceremonial Change Process aligned with H.H. Dalai Lama’s vision of
an environment of kindness and compassion for our children and all who touch them.

 Saturday, March 22, 2008  1:00 – 5:00 PM

Daybreak Star Center

FACILITATOR: Patricia Anne Davis, MA-WSD

Choctaw-Navajo.Chahta-Dineh

This ceremony will reveal an authentic, practical and universal process that is cross-cultural, inter-generational and rooted in timeless Native American Wisdom. In the four phases of Dineh ceremony intra-personal congruency is interrelated with inter-personal social cohesiveness.  Personal power is interconnected with group power.  The mindset for healing is holiness and wholeness within a co-creative design process.  The original blessing way ceremony Dineh from oral tradition celebrates a spiritually healthy way of living.  This is an opportunity for us to experience this ceremony together as a community committed to social change.  It also offers us a practical and powerful way to evolve our own inter-relatedness to support the work that we are doing together.

The outcome of this initial collaboration will be the design of a workshop to be presented on April 15th at the Seeds of Compassion program.  Following that, our vision is to create an initiative that will broaden support for our existing best practices and expand funding to benefit all inner city youth through counseling, job training, employment opportunities (e.g. green collar initiatives) and cultural gatherings.
