Dance Medicine

Using dance as a form of medicine to exercise body, mind and spirit. We dance for over 2 hours straight. Dancing into the parts of ourselves that need release, alignment or nurturing. The music is groove, funk, trance, drums, indigenous, opera and sometimes LIVE! The atmosphere is meditative and conversation is left at the door.

About

The nature of this event is revealing itself organically. It is intended for leaders of social benefit organizations based on or near Vashon Island. The date has been pushed out five weeks from the originally scheduled date in mid June. I have received such strong interest in participation that an expanded the scope and scale appears to be called for. So to allow for more careful planning, the date has been pushed out five weeks from the originally scheduled date in mid June. My intention is for local leaders to come together to create a more unified field of focus. It will be an opportunity to discover and explore the global movement of which we are part and to form and strengthen the alliances which will support the fruition of our work locally. There will be presentations, announcements and discussion. As the details are clarified I will post them. There is no cost and refreshing delights will be provided.

My vision is that this event will catalyze a shift toward a deeper collective recognition of the profundity of this moment in our world on all levels and thereby help to clarify the path which we will walk forward on as a community. I intend to highlight the WiserEarth project and report on current developments and other related news. I beleive that for WiserEarth to be truly community driven, we need to develop highly effective models for engagement and outreach which can be easily adopted and employed in every locality. I hope that this event may serve as one such experimental model. One idea I am exploring in that regard is a power-point style online tour of the Wiserearth site for folks as yet un-introduced to it. We might even add a local organization and event in order to demonstrate the process and help people see that it is easy (and fun) to participate. I welcome any input you may have.
In Service,
Marcus Berg
