Here
is a typical agenda and basic information for a hands-on workshop with
the Greywater Guerrillas. 10:45am Arrive/Register. 11am Greywater
Presentation: We'll go over the most common and reliable residential
greywater systems, greywater basics (e.g. soaps, plants, filters),
greywater codes, and any questions people have. 12pm Lunch Break and
system design time. We'll break into groups to eat our lunches
according to type of greywater system you're thinking of building.
We'll help you with your design ideas and answer questions about your
site/system. 1pm Build System. Participants can move freely between
groups, participating in all aspects of the system construction. 3:30pm
Finish system. Talk about maintenance and care of the system. 4pm End.
Bring: Camera, water, hat, sunscreen, gloves, work clothes, a shovel or
trowel (if you have one-we usually need a couple more), and something
to take notes. There will be greywater and rainwater catchment books
for sale. You will receive hand-outs about the system we built, as well
as other basic greywater systems. Workshops are typically small, 15-20
people max, so all participants can be actively involved in the
building of the system. For people not able to do physical labor there
are observing and supporting roles. Each workshop has between 2 and 3
instructors. Registration required -- email to register: info (at)
