About  [Edit]

Guadalcanal Village Wetlands by Sally Mack

Exhibit - Photography: Fairs/Exhibits/Arts | September 6 – December 21, 2007 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday | 410 O'Brien Hall

Photographer: Sally Mack

Sponsor: Water Resources Center Archives

The Water Resources Center Archives is exhibiting new photos by Sally Mack from the Guadalcanal Village wetlands restoration site near Vallejo, CA. The photos in the exhibit were taken at a 53-acre wetlands mitigation site owned by CalTrans, developed by a consortium of federal and state resource agencies, located on Mare Island (near Vallejo, CA) along the Napa River. Within a few years it is slated to become part of the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

The photos in the exhibit were taken with a Hasselblad film camera and printed at a local lab. The Hasselblad's signature square format (negatives measure 2-1/4 x 2/14") give the photos a special look. The larger negatives make more detail possible.
