About [Edit]
An opportunity to paddle 7 miles of numerous twists and turns on the Shiawassee River between the cities of Holly and Fenton in Michigan. Each year over 100 local paddlers come out to enjoy a bit of racing and leisure paddling on the river.
The event hosted by Headwaterstrails Inc. helps to raise awareness of natural resources in the community often overlooked by everyones hectic lifestyles. Years ago the water route was used by Indian tribes, Trappers , Grain Mill operators and countless others. The group is hard at work to create a water based Heritage Trail along the Shiawassee River.
