Registration deadline is June 6th, 2008. The RSBC is offering $5,000 scholarships for interested participants. If you wish to confirm your eligibility, call Fin at 604-941-5937 before submitting your application.

 

The SLLP, an intensive 3-week outdoor education program combining theory with experiential learning is designed to develop young emerging leaders. Participants travel by raft, canoe, van and on foot on their 1,200 km journey down the Fraser River. The program includes interaction with the RSBC’s network of Fraser River Basin Community leaders. The 2008 SLLP will begin at the Fraser Headwaters at Mount Robson on August 1st and finish in Vancouver; the mouth of the Fraser on August 23rd.

1.       Educate young people about sustainable living & key rivershed issues.

2.     Work with Fraser River schools, stewardship groups, First Nations & community leaders to engage local participation in the SLLP.
