About  [Edit]

The fourth round writing phase of the Global Assembly Dialog begins!  You are invited to participate in identifying and defining the best case solutions to major global issues which prevent the synthesis of a cohesive international community.

This unique diversity round of the GA prototype celebrates non-conventional thinking …

  • Who gets your vote for GA’s “Person of the Year” and what message would you like us to deliver to that person?
  • What ‘alert actions’ can we take to begin the process of nonviolent problem solving?
  • How can we employ our cu ltural, political and religious differences so they build hope and unity instead of despair and division?

… three key questions we have identified as integral to framing the creation of GA’s Forums, which “go global” this spring with the official international launch of the Global Assembly Dialog.

Don’t just think about it, write!  The following link will take you online to post your message: Global Assembly.

The prototype Global Assembly Dialog is an experiment in participatory democracy on the web aimed at massively involving “We the People of the Earth” and leading to the formation of a nonviolent bottom-up Global Assembly with real power to build a world that works for everyone.

Each round of the GA Dialog has a writing phase followed by a rating phase.  In the rating phase you will have a chance to read and rate messages written by the other participants.  The results of the ratings will be available when the next round begins so you can see which messages received top ratings.  The new forum capability that will be launched this spring will add a discussion phase between the writing and rating phases.

The fourth round of the Dialog is “diversity” round in which each of the participating Networks will elect its own message.   The list of Networks so far: Education, Environment, Independents, Interfaith, Nonviolent Service Arm, Overview, Peace & Justice.

Send questions or comments to the dialog coordinator.

Happy New Year!  Let’s make this a breakthrough year for the global movement for just, sustainable and spiritually fulfilling world.

Roger Eaton
Global Assembly Dialog Coordinator
