About  [Edit]

The conference and the preceding trainings will stimulate your thinking by offering you a chance to engage with others committed to practice within a relational framework.  Whether this is your first encounter with transformative mediation  or you are a seasoned transformative practitioner, you’ll experience the richness that comes from encountering new applications and exchanging ideas. Four pre-conference trainings provide a chance
to learn from nationally known practitioners. Over 25 workshops, each two hours in length, will leave you wishing you could be in two places at once.

We’ve taken care to plan this conference with time for old friends to reconnect and new friendships to flourish. The Opening Luau, the NewWaves Café and the Mini-Plenary are just three of the many opportunities for not only meeting and greeting but integrating your voice into the on-going conversation.

Our hosts, the University of California at Santa Barbara, have arranged for comfortable and affordable accommodations.  The food will be varied, plentiful and gourmet.  We’ll be taking advantage of the warm and sunny weather by having many activities and some meals outdoors.  Early morning walks and yoga will get your day off
to a California-style start! And the icing on the cake will be a Pacific sunset cruise: wine, chocolate, stunning views and a chance to talk with Baruch Bush and Joe Folger, the authors of The Promise of Mediation, the book that started it all
